The Caesarea Development Corporation, owner of the Caesarea Golf Club, hired renowned golf course architect Pete Dye to redesign and reconstruct the Caesarea fairways. A team of international experts in the field of golf course development worked with CDC to ensure that the new course meets the highest international golfing standards and will merit use of Pete Dye's name.
Pete Dye is one of the most influential and creative golf course designers in the history of the sport. Each of the many courses that bear his signature name poses unique challenges for the best golfers, while still enabling average players to enjoy their game. With the recent addition of Pete Dye's name to the Caesarea Golf Club, golfers from all over the world are expected to begin arriving at this international tourist site. The golf course will be ranked among the finest clubs in the world, serving both local and international golf populations, in addition to hosting international golf competitions.
Construction on the Caesarea Golf Club began in August 2007 and was recently finished in May of 2009. Following its grand opening, golfers are now able to prepare for the 18th Maccabiah Games, which will take place in Caesarea in July.
